What is nail football?
In the original game, two teams of nails are hammered into a wooden board in a football formation and players take turns flicking a coin or a bottle cap through them. It is related to coin football and penny football, but the nails make it a game of rebounds: you rarely have a straight line to goal, so you bank the disc off nails and walls. Nailball Goal plays the same way with real 2D physics. First to 3 goals wins.
Modes
- Against the computer: easy, medium and hard AI.
- With a friend on one device: pass the phone or share the mouse, taking turns.
- With a friend online: send an invite link to a private room. Or take a quick match with anyone.
- Ranked: Elo rating and a weekly leaderboard. It opens after 5 placement matches against the AI and 3 casual online matches.
Controls
- Computer: press on the disc and pull back like a slingshot; the longer the pull, the harder the shot. Arrow keys and Space work too.
- Phone or tablet: swipe the way the disc should go; a longer swipe is a harder shot.
- Live Spin: hit the disc off-centre and it spins; while it spins your opponent may take an instant shot.
- Every shot has a 20-second clock; when it runs out, the turn passes.
Price and account
The web game is free, with no download, no sign-up and no ads. You can link Google to keep your progress on another device; it is optional. It runs in current browsers on phones, tablets and computers. The game's menus are in English and Turkish. Coming soon to Google Play for Android and the App Store for iPhone.
